Pennsylvania’s Uniform Construction Code designates the 2006 edition of the International Building Code (IBC) as the statewide code which is being implemented across the state.
Get a head start with Pennsylvania Professional Engineers in Private Practice’s (PEPP) Applications of the 2006 IBC for Designers! This seminar will familiarize building designers with choices in building classification, materials, fire resistance, fire protection and means of egress so that they may design basic projects that are code compliant.

Instructor
Roland W. Hall, PE is Manager of the Pennsylvania Resource Center of the International Code Council (ICC). Roland served in a similar position with Building Officials and Code Administrators International (BOCA) from June 1989 until BOCA’s integration with ICC in February 2003. In his position, Roland serves as a service representative for the Middle Atlantic states and is responsible for the complete range of services to members including code administration presentations, code interpretations and educational seminars.
Roland also serves as the chairman of the Board of Safety and Fire Prevention of the Philadelphia Fire Department. Roland is a registered professional engineer in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania with 35 years of experience. His credentials include 18 years in code enforcement, certifications as an International Code Council Certified Building Official, Commercial Building Inspector, Building Plans Examiner and Accessibility Inspector/Plans Examiner. Roland has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Drexel University and is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
